Episode 3: Listen Up!

Who among us didn't watch The Bionic Woman as a child and wish for Jamie Sommers' bionic hearing? (My brain: Anyone who's not ancient like you. Me: Quiet, you. Brain: Oh yeah, you really want me to shut down and quit talking to you. Great idea. Me: Well, you gave it to me. Brain: ... )

Anyway, for those who count supersonic hearing among their secret wishes, the Listen Up! Personal Amplification Device claims to "turn ordinary hearing into extraordinary hearing!" Does it live up to those claims? Click to find out!

Edited to add: Yes, yes, my zipper was down while I was sitting on the couch. Obviously, I didn't realize it till we were done. Our wardrobe person will be fired...as soon as we get one.

Wow, that thing did all the crappy things I imagined it would! I would have loved to see you try to use it at a ball game like in the commercial.

That was both funny and informative! Keep it up guys!

Wow, I'm SO not buying that now! Mostly, though, I just miss my old neighborhood, where you tested it. I could've told you that side door to the Los Feliz 3 smelled like urine. Silly wabbits. And it's a good thing you couldn't hear the Skylight Books kitty's thoughts, 'cuase she's pretty mean.

Ha! Best one yet :) I feared for your eardrums when you dropped it whilst stethoscoping the theater exit.

Cheers!

(this was Josh in Seattle, btw)

No! Skylight Books Kitty--I found out her name is Lucy--is really sweet! She is very open to being petted, for as long as she can wrangle you into doing it. I even picked her up once or twice!

Maybe you just caught her on (a) Cranky Day(s).
